The Dutch Star 4369 is the most popular and the highest number for Newmar. 4369 will have the 365 front tire and there is a reason it's the most popular coach for Newmar for the last 5 plus years. What about that big shower.

43’ will have a 3rd AC unit. For me that makes it easy. Redundant AC is required for us given how failure prone some of the AC units are.

Check with places you plan on staying at to see what their maximum length for a coach can be. When I got to Red Coconut in Ft. Myers Beach, only two of their sites on the front row can handle coaches over 40' but there are additional 4 that can handle 40 feet. So I went with a 4018. Yes smaller shower but I'm 200 lbs and my wife is 110, so not a problem. It really is a matter of preference.

We are very happy with the 4018. We thought we might want the extra storage bay in the 4369, but during 2 years full time we were able to carry everything we needed to cary. From the outside the best way to tell the difference between the two is to count the storage bay doors. There have been a few state parks we went to that were 40' max, but we still saw 43' coaches there.

There's really no wrong choice. I like the 43', but didn't want to deal with additional licensing in California, so we stayed with the 4018. We also visit a lot of National parks and find the 40' is pushing it.

My choice was the 4018 until they said I could not get a third air or larger generator. I went with the 4369 for that reason. I figured (guessed) if a 40'9" would fit a 43'9" would fit in most of those same spots. The license requirements are the same as both are over 40'. I have never seen or heard of anyone being measured except at the entrance of Glamis sand dunes.

Tail pipe is 6" of that extra 9" and the front mirrors are the other 3". Having a tag axle leads others to believe the coach is longer then it really is. This past September I had to prove it was 40' by actually measuring it with a 100' tape measure. That was the only time it was measured, but again the tag throws people off. When asked I always say 40'.

Question, can you actually run all three AC's at the same time with a 43' coach? Just curious but that would be great in itself

The 40' issue in California is arguable. DMV calls it a 40. Newmar calls it a 40 and safety items such as mirrors and bumpers are not included in the measurement.

We like the extra space, large shower and especially the larger closet. Not to complicate things but after we spent a year looking at the 4369 we ended up with the 4362 to get the walk in closet. Wife is a quilter and this was perfect.
