Hi
I have a 06 MADP 4301 Spartan chasis. Just wondering if any owners have had any problems other than the recall on the wiring for the "engine brake". I now have 5500 miles without any problems that I am aware of. I did notice the fantastic fan is not reversible. I am wondering why. Can it be wired to reverse or would the motor have to be changed. Thanks for any input.

I have two fans in my coach and the idea of use is to draw cool air thru a window opening to cool your coach. You can add a foam filter so screens stay clean. To draw air down would cause screen to be come dirty and your would draw fly's and bugs into it.
Spartan chassis is one of the best have known them to upgrade parts to keep it that way.

I have 2 fans also. My 2000 DSDP had a reversible fan in it.

At the GNR of Winnebago last week, the Fantastic Fan people were there and gave out free switches for the fans which would reverse the air flow into the coach. I inquired as to why that would be desirable and found out one good reason they propounded was in case of driving down a dirt or dusty road, the fan could be utilized to create a postive pressure in the coach to prevent dust from so readily coming in through crevices, etc.

As to why some motorhome builders do not put them in as OEM, it boils down to costs and RVIA standards it was explained.

They did not recommend putting the reverse switch on the Fantastic Fan in the john area where odors could be brought back into the rig from above the black tank vent.
