The back-up lights power the back-up alarm. Locate the back-up light plug and you will probably find the source of the alarm sounding. My first guess is the cannon plug on the transmission.

He’s correct the alarm is triggered by the lights. When you hear the alarm, if you turn on the ignition, is the touchpad light up for reverse or still in neutral.
