Welcome to the forum and irv2 Dawn.
To start here is a Brochure and 1997 Owners Guide the oldest we have.

Below in my signature are links that some will apply to your older coach.
This link should be helpful.

If your batteries are fully charged or the coach is plugged in the 12v supply should provide the voltage needed to operate your lights.
Have your coach plugged into a power outlet to operate your slide, weak batteries will cause you slide problems.

In the OG their is wiring and fusing diagrams and you may have circuit breaker's off your house batteries that have to be reset for operation of your 12v control boards and lights. Page 7-7 will show what I am talking about they would be near the house batteries.

The battery disconnect switch should be on at all times you are using your coach.

Your in WA. state this company maybe able to help you out if you have problems with the coach.
Congratulations on your Newmar, enjoy the forums and do post often and safe travels.

Hi dawnybgood,
Welcome to iRV2 and the Newmar Owners forum. Do you have a Kountry Aire 5th wheel or a Kountry Aire Class A motor coach?

Here is a KAFW Owners Guide 1997 oldest we have, may have wiring and fusing near end of OG.
Your house batteries may have circuit breaker's near the batteries as shown in the OG that may need to be reset for your 12v power to lights, slide and fridge.

Here is the Brochure for FW.

Our 5th wheel group, your the second today that may wake them up.
