A/C-Heater Control Panel Issue

2018 DSDP: After fussing for months with Spartan, they have stepped up and provided parts and labor costs to repair a leak in the a/c system. When the tech began testing the repaired system, he noticed that the leftmost button (ac on/off) on the dash control panel would not stay engaged (green light illuminated). The right button operates correctly, staying on or off as appropriate. If the left button is held in the “on” position, the ac system/compressor operates correctly.
Questions: anyone else experience this? Is the solution as easy as replacing the control panel or the ac button? Is this a Newmar or Spartan part? What is the access method to this control panel, through the drawer below it?
Thank you for your input! Much appreciated!

The Evans AC/HEATER & parts is installed by Newmar, Spartan only installs the compressor, this sticky has all information for the EVAN System trouble shooting and parts.
