We've encountered an unusual problem recently.
When I used the air leveling system &/or jack leveling system everything worked fine and the coach leveled perfectly. Then when I went to take the key out of the ignition 3 seconds later the ABS symbol lights up and this high pitched alarm goes off. If I turn the key to the on position the alarm stops and the ABS goes off.
So in order to have a leveled coach that is quiet I need to leave the key in the engine in the on position
OR
store the leveling jacks/air bags and don't worry about the problem.
Well I took the coach into my local RV dealership and dropped it off on May 26 to have it looked at and fixed (along with other work). I was told that the ABS needed to be replaced and the extended warranty people came and agreed with the dealer.
Well after 3 weeks I picked up the coach. I leveled the coach and went to take out the key and guess what! ALARM with ABS light again. Nothing had changed.
Well I called the supervisor of the repair center, demonstrated the problem to him, told him that the ONLY time the ABS light came on was in conjunction with the leveling issue and asked why, after 3 weeks it wasn't fixed.
"Well I don't think I've even seen that before," was the response I got.
Has anyone else heard of this? I'm wondering why the ABS sensor was replaced in the first place.
