ac trouble

2005 dutch star have 2 zones one in the front is blowing cold , but one in the rear is blowing hot air. can anyone help me out? thanks

Easiest way to tell if the compressor is activating is run the genny for power and deactivate the forward a/c and set zone 2 to very low temp and listen for the genny to speed up for the fan and then speed up for the compressor. If that happens then odds are the unit will need to be replaced. If the compressor doesn't kick in then you may need a tecnician to troubleshoot the problem.

What do you have your 2nd zone reading, AC programed for, cool, heat pump or heat strip.
The two zones can be programed separately.
You will also find in PFD that dip switch's have to be correct in each AC control board, something thats over look by some.

If your zone 2 is set to Cool,but blows real HOT air,then the coil that slides
over the Reversing Valve may be open.This puts the AC unit into Heatpump
mode. Cut all power and check this coil for OPEN. You need to go up there
and remove the cover to find the solenoid coil.

My 2006 ks was just the opposite, rear cold and front warm. When at a shop for something else I had the front ac checked. They said it was ok. By experimenting, I found that if I set the rear ac at 75 and the front at 70, then they both work together fine.
