access port cover

When we bought our rig, the sewer hose access port cover was missing. Newmar has "0" available. On their part page, it lists their number (23812), a vendor number (77555) and STD. Is STD the vendor? I tried searching for STD as a plumbing supplier with lots of variables without luck. I have looked in Lowe's and Big Orange but no luck with a 'plug' that size. Any help in finding a cover or an alternative would be appreciated.

Try Walmart in the RV section usually next to automotive.

Walmart has the caps for the discharge but this is the "screw-in piece for the hole in the floor where the sewer hose goes through so you can close the hatch while the hose is still hooked up" thingy. Looks like a thin PVC Sched. 40 cleanout plug. My wife always says I just don't give enough information a lot of the times. Guess it's true. Thanks.

It sounds like you looked online.

I suggest you give Newmar parts a call.

While out in Quartzsite recently I found a guy who had built his own plug for that hole by taking a round piece of sheet metal (looked good - stainless, but you could use anything) that was a wee bit larger than the hole and then cutting out a round piece of high density styrene foam (You get that at the hobby shop) and glueing it to the sheet metal disk. Make the foam of a size to fit rather snug in the hole. Add a handle, on the top (you can use a drawer pull) and you are good to go.

That marine cover looked good however deaton has won the day. I finished making the "plug" out of the styrene, 1/4" plywood, rather than the stainless steel he saw. Just waiting for the glue to dry and will give it a test run tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the help.
