2007 Essex. Lost power to accessory side of the ignition switch. Radio requires both ignition & accessory power to operate. I cannot find the fuse. Any thoughts? In-line?

Does your rig happen to have an AUX/Main Radio Power switch on the dash that will allow the radio to play when you're parked? Check for that. When I park for the night at a campground, key off, Radio switch to AUX.

I'm a little confused .

Your radio needs a battery feed to maintain memory and ignition or accessory feed to activate it for use ..

Does the radio work while driving and not when parked with the ignition switch in the accessory position ?

Is your Essex on a Spartan chassis ?

Thanks for the feedback! No Aux/ main radio switch. The motorhome is a 2007 Essex 4508 on a Spartan chassis. The radio is a Pioneer's DMH-WT8600NEX digital multimedia receiver that replaced the original pioneer nav system. It uses the same wiring harness. The installation instructions said the receiver required power from the ACC to function? It will not come on now with the engine running or not. I tested the 12v inline fused power from the battery and it gets to the radio. I tried a new replacement radio but it will not power up either. At this point, I assume the new radio is good and either power or ground is the issue. Previously, the radio would come on with the key in the ACC or ignition key positions. Last night while troubleshooting, I noticed when the the key was turned to ACC nothing in the motorhome activated (I cannot remember what was previously powered in ACC, if anything). I tested all the fuses under the driver’s seat compartment. Headed out now to check in the electrical compartment. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Final follow up. Two issues, the old radio was bad, and I found the ACC hot wire that came lose. All fuses etc were intact. The new radio is now working as advertised. Appreciate the feedback, it took me three days of troubleshooting to sort it out and it is always great to know the IRV2 family is available for advice. Cheers! Any ole Joe
