Activate air compressor to test ???

After 'auto' air leveling I had to 'raise all' the coach to have enough height for the HWH steps to clear the up sloping ground.

I know in 'manual' air leveling the Valid system does not wake up every two hours to check for level. I was told that by Valid. But Valid did say 'auto' + 'raise all' checks every two hours just like 'auto' only does.

I was on a site for a week and never heard the compressor come on, which should if a corner needs to be raised. The coach stayed dead perfect level the entire week, thus maybe no need.

Am on jacks for a few weeks at a different location, but want to just see if the compressor is working.

Is there a way to activate the compressor just to hear if it is OK?

Hi - If the coach stayed level then I'd guess that you have a no leaks in the suspension part of the air system. If you want to trigger the compressor just retract the suspension and then just auto level again. At some point it will kick on the compressor.

Or step on the brakes a few times.

Yeah that is the best way. I'll wait till our next stop. Jacks are down and site has a bit of a cross-slope, so don't want to deal with it in this situation. Thanks.

Hi Ken - I think he was referring to the valid electric air pump, not the engine compressor. The air for the Valid and the brakes are separate. I know on my coach the suspension doesn't leak overnight but the other tank will go flat over the course of several days. But of course it doesn't meet leak standards for warranty.
Still wish we all had your original Comfort Drive, The new one doesn't hold a candle.
