Adding extra seatbelts for g-grandkids

After taking 3 of our g-grandkids out in the motor home for the first time a couple weeks ago just noted we needed more seatbelts. Ordered 90 inch seatbelts from seatbeltplant.com and they made up 2 sets of extra long 90 inch black belts. It was over 5 weeks after ordering belts that they came. Hardest part on project was drilling holes in title floors. Used 1/2 inch carriage bolts 4 inches long. Check for clearance on FWS and no problem. One can also put a small basket behind the seat for storage. G-grand kids loved traveling in LA and the 3 days at the San Diego KOA.

Nice job Tom! What type of bit did you use to drill the holes in floor, and from which direction?

Used a number of different tile drill bits for drilling title. Drilled from inside the coach. Must of used 7 or 8 different bits which all ended up not able to drill, so time to change to another drill bit. Now have seating for 6 with seatbelts.

Tom, did you also anchor the chair down to the same bolts? If not the person with the seat belt around their lap would be the only thing restricting the chair from moving. The person may not move due to an accident but the weight of the chair squeezing them against the seatbelt could cause severe injury.
