2011 4324 DS. - Started a long overdue project tonight. Only had the coach a year but one of my biggest pet peeves is the dark pantry. Waiting for Amazon to deliver the wardrobe door switches to button it up but have the wires all run. Should be quick once I get the final pieces.
Found 12v positive on the backside of the wall switch and ground from the lamp right above it. Snaked a wire down to the cabinet below it and ran it into the fridge cabinet where the power cord goes.....stampled it along the floor in that closet and came out to the front of the pantry where I ran the LEDs up each side of the shelf tracks. With the door switch they will come on automatically when the door's opened.
At least I have it all run and put back together now. Can't wait to get it done.
Next project will be doing the same thing in the laundry doors opposite my fridge and finally I am going to run some LED lights across the top molding on each slide out...so when they are out, I can have some uplighting in the living area, on a dimmer for just a small amount of light.

We just did ours a few days ago and used LED that had brick that plug into 110 volts and just plug it into same the plug fridge plugs into. Put the lights down the front rails pointing inward. Placed a motion switch at the bottom. It was all plug and play. Great upgrade and only took about 30 minutes to complete only removed the bottom draw to gain access to the plug.

I did the same thing. Much better now.

Yes - that was also an option. In the end, I didn't want to have inverters all over or taking up plug receptacles. That said, where my fridge plugs into, like the convection oven, they used a single outlet plug. So I would have had to swap that anyways.
This setup came with the pigtails and dimmer switch also. I figured there is 12v all over the coach so not hard to find a source. The next project, which I'll post when the parts come, will be adding the LED to the top of the wood trim on the slides inside. For that one, I tracked down the same OEM switches and will be removing the 2 gang box, adding a 3 gang with a sliding dimmer switch. Should look perfectly OEM when done. My same thought with that, didn't' want 12v convertors all over, that would be 2 more.
Looks great btw. Which lights did you go with and did you stick them or use the mounts? I stuck them after cleaning the rails very good with alcohol. Time will tell if they will hold up. I'm not too optimistic....most do fail. I have the clips also that I can use to hold them.

I've started using rechargeable LED lights with motion sensors. They're easy to mount, and easy to recharge. The newer ones available use a magnetic mount, and can have around 20 led lights per unit which provide plenty of light for inside cabinets.
Just another option.

Nice mod. Curious as to how the lights come on with either door. Do you have switches on both doors?
On mine I have one motion sensor that will work when either door is open. Each sensor has a timer and sensor that will turn off the light after +/- 20 seconds, also adjustable, with or without the doors closed back.
