Air dump valve

Sometimes when we stop and dump the air to park and level for the night, we are unable to build the air up in the morning. In order to build the air, I put the jacks down and take the pressure off of the air. Most of the time this does the job, However , I'm afraid that one of these days this procedure will not work. Does any one have any suggestions. This has been a problem for several years and I have spent many dollars having my local truck repair shop trying to fix this.

What year is your Dutch Star?

I'm sure the chassis company has used several different types.

I was having the exact same problem with mine. It's not the electric dump valve itself. It seems to be something that sticks in the rear ride height valve when you lower the suspension all the way down. It doesn't do it all the time, just once in awhile. Just enough to make you nervous every time you start up in the morning to leave. If you get underneath and listen for the air leak when it happens you'll see the air is leaking out of the rubber vent tube on the ride height valve. As long as that keeps leaking you can't build your air up. When you jack it back up with your levelers it makes the adjusting rod move and that's probably what makes it unstick. I've sprayed WD40 up that rubber vent tube which seamed to help.

Just this winter I changed the ride height valve in hopes of eliminating this problem for good. Haven't made any trips since changing it. But I'm confident this should remedy the problem.

When I manually dump air I have to press the "store" button to regain ride height. Our leveler system is an HWH 625. Hope this helps you solve your problem
