Wanted to tell you guys about a neat gadget that I got from Newell. It is an air pressure multiplier. It doubles the pressure of the air going into it. It's about 10 x 4 x 4 inches and includes a regulator for limiting the max output pressure. Newell charges about 250 for this little jewel. It is extremely useful for topping off the tires, especially if you are running close to max inflation pressues. We all know what a pain it is to try to coax 120 psi into a tire when the max system pressure is 120.

I had some experience with these devices in the industrial world but never one this small. Of course it takes over twice the volume to double the pressure, but you don't use something like this except for topping off the tires.

Yes, I know I could have bought a pancake compressor capable of 150 psig for under 200. Since I already had a home compressor, and there are three compressors on board my rig, I decided not to carry a fourth

Anyway, it's a neat little device and I can top off the tires in about a minute each now.

It's made by SMC, but I could not find it online for cheaper than what Newell was selling it for.

Good travels !!!

Try air intensifier. This is what we call them in the automotive industry.
