How long should the air suspension hold after shutdown

At least a day. What issues are you having?

My '21 Ventana airs down completely after about 12-16 hours. Do you think there could be a small leak?

My 21 Ventana also leaks down to about 65 over about 6 to 8 hours. It seems to hold at 65. I’ve had 2 najor leaks on rear of coach that Freightliner has repaired twice.

Most definitely a leak. There are small white plastic lines that supply air. I had one that had a welding burn in it when I picked up my first Dutch Star at the factory. They replaced it. After that, both Dutch Stars seemed to lean on the driver's side after about 4 days and I was told that was normal. My LA shows no signs of any leaking after 10 days, but it has active air, so that may be a little different.

Air suspension , is isolated from the rest of the chassis air system by a PPV , ( Pressure Protection Valve 65/70 psi) that's in place to insure air pressure for brakes in the event of an air suspension rupture . An air system leak that completely drains both tanks is in a different area of the air system .

Both Freightliner and Spartan will have a design specification for an " acceptable " rate of air pressure loss .
JMHO ; both your air systems exceed that rate of loss . My 99 XC will hold pressure in the suspension for 3+ days and pressure over 65 in the front tank that feeds the suspension and 115 in the rear tank, for weeks .

Good thread. I just checked my gauges, and I am right about 70 psi in both after 19 hours sitting.

Is the suspension fully down ?

Contact your chassis manufacturer for an air system diagram , linked to your serial number and info on "acceptable " rate of pressure loss .

I actually put blocks under the retracted levelling jacks to keep some weight off the tires, per FL recommendations. Difficult to say if it is fully down as a result, but it is all the way down on the blocks.

If the blocks had 3 1/2 to 4" clearance, and they're now touching , the suspension is fully down . Tanks at 70 ( and holding ? ) would indicate the PPV is functioning .

Good thread.
I have a (new to me) 2003 DS (Spartan) and the front goes all the way down after just a few hours - noticeable after 2 hours, but 3 or 4 it is all the way.

This is one of my next projects -- i will have to look into the PPV and who knows what else. Fun part is setting up a ramp so i can get under safely.

Also -- have to love an industry (actually MFR) where you can ask the manufacturers for the schematics and they have them -- and provide them. If anyone knows of a link to the schematics, i would appreciate the link. Meanwhile, i will be searching then contacting.

On my 05 Mountain Aire the front will drop in less than 2 hrs and the rear will hold for 3-4 days

Mine has air levelling and it looses 10lbs per day.

The air step valve was my last major source of air leaking.

My little compressor that is supposed to keep the air levelling working doesn’t and I haven’t tackled it yet.

I used to lose all air down to 35psi in 6 hours.
