All Slides Operating On Their Own

This is one I've never encountered.

Pulled in, settled in, started to sit down to supper

All four slides, two front, two back started coming in, on their own no switch touched, all together in unison.

What? Anyone ever had this happen? Anyone have any idea what happened? What might have caused it?

If I recall correctly, one of our members had that happen on his Essex (I think it was about the same era as yours). Crushed his brand new oak coffee table. Ya might do a forum search for that thread.

I had it happen on my '04 DSDP. It only happened on one slide. Would go in and out whenever it felt like it. I moved the board to a different slide with the same results. I wound up purchasing a new board. The new boards do not run the slides automatically when you push the button. You have to hold the button in to operate the slides.

That being said since all four slides did it at the same time you either had a voltage spike or dip that the boards sensed as a button push. Hopefully it was dirty power and won't happen again.

I would check your connections at your batteries to make sure they are tight. I have never heard or experienced that issue. Something triggered them to run and the batteries are the only thing they are all connected too since each has it's own controller.
