Any experience replacing Automotion shade motors with generic brand?

After having our dealer replace two of tbe motors this past summer (those suckers apparently are worth their weight in gold) we now have three more needing replacement. Automotion motors are $125. I see generics from $20 to $50.

Any success and if so, exactly what did you use?

Very happy with the replacement motor in ours.

I can't remember the make, but it was much cheaper than the original, and it has more travel now too!

Our 17 Dutch Star had all MCD shades. Was Automotion a previous brand?

We had issues with our MCD shades right after we bought the coach in 2017. Newmar sent MCD out and they replaced all 23 shades and the controller. No problems after that.
