Getting to the kitchen and half-bath with the slides pulled in is not an issue. Again, better than it was with the Bus because the Bus had that L-shaped couch that stuck out more into the walkway when closed. We also travelled in the Bus with our 180-lb Great Dane. He generally just laid on the couch while in motion so he was out of the way. Sadly, we lost him before switching to the DS.

We've owned our DS for almost a year and as soon as our house sells we will be going full-time. So far it's been a great coach.
jepoland - Sorry for your loss of your Great Dane. It's good to hear that you think the noise levels in the DS are better than the Tiffin and that there is more room. We looked at a Allegro Bus as well, but it just didn't feel right. We have offered on the DS and waiting for the seller to confirm. Fingers crossed.

We have a 2018 DS. Had it built. One option we did was put the standard hinges on the 1/2 bath door. The reason is my wife likes to go into that bath and open the closet in there to get stuff out. With the pivoting hinge door one has to go inside and then close the door to open the closet, not so with standard hinges. But with the standard hinges and the slides in the door doesn't open as wide. So my fat butt can't get in there well under way. Not really a problem.

As far as going back and forth we don't seem to have any problems with the recliners. Our Portuguese Water Dog is 60 # and he has no problems. A Dane with way longer legs would not either.

As others has said the wind noise at the door is either is isn't closed properly or it is out of adjustment. BTW the escape door in the bath is a two latch door as well and might just leak every once in a while if not closed to the second latch. Don't ask? If you open it just pull it closed with some gusto.

After it's third trip to Nappanee this past June it is fully sorted. Just in time for us to sell it. After 6.5 years of fulltiming we are in the process of building a house in South Florida and will be selling our coach.
