pstroke, congrats on the new coach, but for several weeks now they've curtailed the "paint" portion of the tour....Not likely we'd be able to see your coach but we'll keep our eyes out.

I've enjoyed the opportunity to make MANY new friends here in Nappanee and since it looks like I'll be here through at least Tuesday I thought I would bump this up a notch....
Many of the folks that were here for service have used the weekend to return home or to points snowbird and I'm sure there will be a new crop of units coming in over the weekend for Monday appointments...
I'll be parked in site 6 right in front of the regular service center so stop and say hello!

Just got a call from GaryKD who is back in Nappanee after having gone to Charlotte,MI for some Spartan warranty issues...
He and his wife are picking me up for dinner here in a few minutes, they want to go to Mancini's.
Really good food with both a sit down and carry out operation....Very casual atmosphere.

Man oh man Roger....I told my wife to stock up the refrigerator as I'm tiring of eating out so much...
Yes,it's true I do have the basement fridge/freezer,but it's too darn cold to be going in and out of the coach...
There's still one place I've not tried as I just learned of it on Friday....Mary's is right around the corner and they make several kinds of homemade pies....You have to know I won't miss THAT place! G-R-O-A-N !!
The buffet at the Country Table is my fave I think so far,but while "My Place Too" doesn't have much "curb appeal", their food is really good and thus a close second...

We have been there all of them, Country Table food came so fast I was trying to keep up but my stomach couldn't and I had to run to bathroom but didn't make it sprayed every where.
But I did get back to get my favorite dessert.

My 1 year warranty is due to expire in the next 2 weeks and the dealer is offering an extended warranty.
Bob, which extended warranty did you purchase with the Essex. I have never bought the extended warranties since several of hte components and chassis have warranties beyond the Newmar warranty. Plus, I have only heard about how many of the warranty companies fight claims or make it difficult to file a claim. I may keep my MADP a little longer than expected...not sure it is worth the cost (cost TBD).

Over on the Yahoo Newmarowners forum, Lee Litchfield, owner of Lee's RV's posted some good info on extended warranty's. If you search there, you can find it. He mentioned 2 companies that were above the rest.
I believe he said exclusionary warranties were best because they listed the items that were not covered, and everything else was.
Inclusionary warranties cover only the items listed, and everything else in not covered.
I think I got that right.

Also take a look in the Files section of the Newmar owners / Yahoo site. I spent many hours last summer finding out the things to watch out for. I wrote them all up and put them in the files. Two big issues: DEFINITELY get an exclusionary type warranty. They state that everything is covered except: (and then list what's not covered) An inclusionary warranty has too many loop holes in it. Make sure you understand the start date of the coverage. Many (most) will start on the original date you picked up the RV NOT the date you sign the extended warranty agreement. You could lose at least a year of coverage because of this.
