Anybody have this happen on armrests on 2016 ventana

Seems like fabric should hold up better than this for a coach about 3 years old! Wondered how easy to get fabric. Did send picture to Newmar waiting on response.

Happens to all faux leather. Call the manufacturer many times. You will grow old waiting for a response.

This can and does happen to real leather also (Semi Aniline dyed) if the top coat is not applied correctly or it is a cheap hide.

Lots of threads on this Do a search. Call newmar they are aware of the problem and will work with you on repair.

I have an issue with the captain chairs bead/cord on the edges. Sent picture to Newmar and they are replacing all fabric in the coach. My problem looks nothing like your. (yours is really bad). It took 2-3 weeks for them to get back to me

I noticed the same issue today on the same arm rest at same location. Have owned coach for 36 months. Did you get a reply from Newmar? Will report my issue tomorrow.

We are having the issue with the material peeling off on both driver and passenger arm rests and the on the stand alone recliner along the top or headrest. It is not from sunlight or UV.

I think it must be poor material.


I will upload pictures and will also contact Newmar.


We are a 2013 coach, we bought in June 2014,,, and we have only put 20k miles on it since then. Not much use in that time.

Newmar knows they have had problems with some of there seat/couch covers... We had a problem with our 12 CS and Newmar stepped up and replaced everything under warranty 5 years out of warranty...

We have a 2015 Ventana and have the same/similar problem with most of our furniture. We were at the factory in September for a tour as we were passing through and asked the Ventana Specialist to stop by our coach at Camp Newmar. We agreed on a meeting at 12:30 which is after their lunch break. Within 5 minutes she agreed to replace both captains chairs, the sofa and our two recliners at no charge to us. She suggested we use Guaranty RV in Oregon as we are based in Washington State. We are scheduled for the work on December 17th and I confirmed yesterday that the replacement furniture (or cover for the captain's chairs) are scheduled for delivery by December 5th. Newmar could not have been more responsive and helpful on this. Our coach is well over two years out of warranty. I think it helped being at the factory and meeting face to face with the Ventana specialist. Guaranty RV has been great to work with as well. Newmar is aware of this issue and I believe they will work with you so long as you are reasonable. Best of luck to all with this issue.
