I bought a kitchen faucet for home with the touchless control on it. We always seem to be turning the water on when we don't want to.

I did the same as Bill with the little sticker on the button and it works really well. Also put one on the microwave light switch.

Ok, I’ve got 8000 series toilets in our 2018 DSDP. Where can I get control panels? My local rv shop wants $285 apiece for them! Is Newmar a reasonable source?

I’d call Newmar...I was quoted around $150, I believe.

That is what I got quoted yesterday. I needing a replacement and they quoted 324.00 for the old style plus shipping. Luckly I found someone on this tread that replaced theirs with new wave one and bought his old for much less than what Newmar wanted.

I expect my panels on Saturday will probably install them Sunday.

I will post pictures and install tips.

Ok job done!

With the right tools this is a very easy and quick upgrade.

I am very pleased with the results.

The new panels arrived yesterday.

Total time to replace both panels less than 30 minutes.

Tools required

Small flat blade screwdriver for popping the old panel from the base.

Cordless drill.

Square drive bit.

Hole saw, with 2 blades, 1.5 in andd 2.5 inch, Stackable picture will explain.

Cordless vacuum or use your central vacuum.

Procedure.

Access back of panel, in both cases just open the cabinet and unplug the data cable, similar to a phone jack just larger.

Use small flat blade screw driver release panel from base plate either bottom center or top center you will see the small recess.

With your square bit remove all 4 screws and base plate.

Use stacked hole saw and drill to open the hole from 1.5 to 2.5 inches.

Vacuum saw dust.

Mount new switch and base with same 4 screws be sure it is level.

Plug in harness.

Snap on trim panel

Flush away.

I love how the blue matches the light switches.

Ted.

Ted.....Just looked at your link to the new switch. If you look below the photo in the link, it shows two other switches with a third light. Those are the switches for the VacuFlush toilets I was talking about. So they make several different switches for the different toilets. One thing....they're proud of them, no matter which model.

Can't tell from the photo, but are the lighted buttons raised on the new switch?
