Good Morning - am wondering if I am about to have a major failure within my KIB electronic lighting & switching control unit. I am puzzled about what would cause ceiling lights controlled by the KIB electronic control unit to dim, flicker, AND what would also cause the whole unit to shut down and reset on its own. The dimming part "could possibly be" a failure of the internal part that does dim ceiling lights at the push of a button.

Has anyone had any internal parts fail? Can you share its remedy? THANK YOU, Jeff

Don't know about your 2016 Essex. But in my '04 Mountain Aire, all the lights are 12volt. I have had flickering with the LEDs that have 2 thin wires coming out of the bulb base, which turn back towards the light. I just cleaned the prongs up, which seemed to help.

Lights just went off again as I was standing next to the Silverleaf display, I saw that leg #2 was showing 49 amps with only the rear ac unit on! Then it quickly went down to 2 amps as the rear ac unit lost power momentarily causing the compressor to turn off, yet the fan continued to run.

So, apparently, something is causing the amperage to spike and perhaps also momentarily shutting down the KIB lighting system causing all lights to go out. I cannot think of what on the rear ac unit would cause the amperage to spike, and it seems to be cooling properly and the return air filters are clean.

I just turned off the barn main panel 50 amp breaker to the coach and the silverleaf system shows the voltage as:
House Batteries 12.8 volts
Chassis Batteries 12.9 volts

I am wondering if it has to do with the automatic transfer switch...?

We have a 18 London Aire that we have had 22 ceiling flicking and burnout in the first 6 months. Just went to Newmar factory to have all ( 83 ) ceiling lights replaced. So far no problems with the replacement LED lights. This has been a problem for a number of years across the whole Newmar line. These are Chinese LED bulbs which have been a problem with other coach builders.
