Anyone seen this Youtube video/channel?

This YouTube video apparently is someone at the Newmar service center having repair work done, and their experience seems to be 180 degrees from our experiences with Newmar...

Yeah, I’ve been watching their vids. I’ll keep my thoughts to myself.

No idea what things were like pre COVID, but considering all that's going on with the boom in RV sales, skilled labor shortage nothing surprises me. Like every industry, I'll bet older, skilled techs retired over the last 14 months and there just is not a pool of experienced people to replace them. The "Team Leaders" and shop manager are probably exhausted from people yelling at them because their rolling home in down.

There is another youtube couple who complain constantly. I choose not to watch. Sounds like this couple is the same.

Trained Tech Source

So have any of you had this type of experience with Newmar? I had a minor experience that I thought was handled extremely well by the factory. I get the tech issue, but wonder what the industry is doing about it. I watch a YouTube channel called Changing Lanes. Good all-around channel. One of the videos was about the owner going to an RV Tech school to increase his knowledge for DYI jobs. My impression was they, the school was swamped with students trying to get certified in the different systems. Seems like someone at Newmar should be checking in to this for tech sources.

I’ve watched off and on. They’ve definitely had some major issues, both Newmar and Freightliner.

Not the way I might approach things but I hope they get things resolved.

Excellent point...and hopefully the Industry Associations are fully engaged in financially supporting such endeavors.

My company, not at all in the RV industry but rather hi-tech, could see a shortage of skilled workers coming years ago. Rather than focus on colleges, they started their own program working with high schools and 2-year technical colleges and mostly in "underserved" communities. The program starts motivated and interested high-schoolers in study of computer sciences in Sr High, and then they move on and finish a 2-year technical degree. The company provides some funding as well as mentoring support. This program has expanded across many US cities and quite a number of foreign countries. Many of the graduates are now working for us. Some of those then go on, with company support, to obtain their college degrees.

Some people should not own an RV, but they are making money on U-Tube

When we went to watch our coach being built, the tour guides said Newmar was heavily involved in supporting the local tech schools, hoping to land new techs.
