Approximately when to expect VIN?

Got a call from Phil at Newmar last month telling me my FPU date. At the time, he said I'd receive an email in a few weeks containing all of the information about my order but I haven't received anything yet.

With my FPU being a little less than two months away, I figured I'd have something by now. I thought about sending him a quick email to inquire but don't want to seem impatient either. I know they are dealing with lots of customers. In any case, I was wondering how far in advance of my FPU should I expect to get all of my coach's info, including VIN.

I've already signed off on the build.

Send a n email, they will have it by now including the projected build schedule and will be happy to send them to you. It is all on their computer screen by now.

The VIN comes with the chassis, so they won't know the number until the chassis is allocated to your build number. They may not even have the chassis on site yet.

We did not do a FPU, but our VIN was sent was sent the day the chassis rolled onto the production floor (May 25). The completed coach rolled off the production floor three weeks later (June 15).

I would guess that your VIN will be available 3-4 weeks ahead of the FPU...probably not earlier than that. We've seen the production process at Newmar and the bare chassis is kept in a storage yard until needed. I don't think they assign a specific chassis ahead of time; they just use the next one coming onto the production floor.

Again, I think your ordering dealer can get it now. I have had mine since May and my coach is still not on the dealers lot. They try to finish coaches several weeks before factory pickup is scheduled to take place. All JMHO
