Atwood levelegs problem

We have a 06 Ventana 3631 with Atwood level legs. They work great going down, Recently went to retract, the cycle started then stopped I got an error on the front right leg, after several tries they did retract. I re-programed them as the owners manual says. after several extends and retracts they appear to be working correctly. They did hang up the first time or 2 after the reprogram. I also have contradicting information about engine running or not running the engine when using auto level. Dumping the air or not. Anyone have any advice or solution on this system. We are getting ready to head South for 3 months and this is a problem I would like to resolve before we get the road.

My Atwood Levelegs have also started to operate erratically and apparently replacement parts are no longer available. I think that my control panel is going bad. I have found that running the engine at fast idle helps to get full voltage to the panel.

My suggestion is to always carry a drill motor and a 1/2" socket so that the legs can be manually retracted if they get stuck in the extended position. It apparently takes 500 turns of the nut to retract the leg 1".

I haven't decided what to do when my Levelegs fail. A replacement hydraulic system would be about $4K. Apparently there is also an option to manually control the legs with parts from Gama Electronics, but all the safety interlocks would be absent.

You may want to check all the grounds for jacks to chassis frame, if you have wiring plugs for each jack disconnect and use a contact spray cleaner to clean out any corrosion.
Also using this link and the Newmar search engine ask a question on repairing the Atwood jack system.
Here are a few jack results.

I think it must be a ground or connection, we were in 5 days of wet weather, I'm going to clean all those connections see if that might fix it. I had a problem similar involved steps on a Dutch star it was a ground.
