Autoformer, Progressive EMS, and PCS EMS

I am glamping in a place I assume had poor voltage. I was frequently getting low voltage errors from my progressive hw50c- EMS.

So I purchased a Hughes Autoformer. It is plugged into the pedestal, shore cord attached to HAF, Progressive HW50C-EMS between the ATS and shore cord.

I am still getting low voltage cut out.

The HW50C is showing 108V / 111V @ approx 65amps.

The PCS shows 117 / 119 @ 65 amps (this is inside the coach above driver display)

The HAF is NOT boosting. I have 5 green LEDs, and 2 unlit for the boost per line.

Either I have a faulty HAF and PCS or a faulty Progressive Hw50C-EMS.

Spot checking the outlets, I am seeing 118V

Based on all this data, I now believe I have a faulty HW50C.

Has anyone else experienced this? I plan on calling progressive in the morning, but was curious if others had dealt with this problem.

Yes your PI unit may need to be calibrated. Call them anyway. Calibration may not fix it however and if that’s the case they may send you a new board. It’s a little work to put it in though. I’ll try to post the calibration procedures here if not they can email it to you. It’s easy however you will need a volt meter and a eye glass screw driver.Click image for larger version

I had the same problem with my PT30x. It was reading only 114v, when my source power was 123v. Adjusted the potentiometer to match voltage. Click image for larger version
