Great info.... Do you have detailed instructions like these for replacing an ignition lock out motor with a non-ignition lock motor (4280P)?

The AMS tech suggested I switch to the non-ignition lock motor for the side shade to eliminate the frequent resetting of the limits that I have been doing.

It took me a while to get this all together. A combination of different wiring at the shade motor and rewiring the switch as instructed by the Newmar TSB solved my problem. The two shades work flawlessly.

I have had many troubles with automotion shades on my 2016. They just come out of warranty and I'm still trying to resolve issues I had from day one. Now, the back window one quit. The front sides need replacement due to apparently defective motors....they are honoring the fix with updated versions. Feels like I might get the run around on the rear which has been used maybe half a dozen times. I now wonder how long before the others fail. Unbelievable.

I went through 8 MCD shade motors in 6 months. Even got a bad one in a shipment of 4 direct from MCD. They are just not up to the quality requirements of our coaches. I wasted a full week at a dealership waiting for those motors. I got a chuckle from customer service when I asked them to pull some from production like it says in their 2017 Dutch Star brochure. If they make that same statement in the 2018 brochures I think we have a clear case of false advertising.
