Aux water pump

We are having trouble with the aux water pump. The tank is full but the pump won't pick up water to any of the faucets or shower. Any suggestions? We can hear the pump running.

You have provided very little information to help troubleshoot your problem which prompts more questions than answers.

When you turn the pump on do you get an indicator light showing the pump is on?

When the pump is on does it run continuously without shutting off?

When you open a faucet do you get any air?

Did you fill the tank with a two-way valve, City / Fresh Water Fill?

What position is this valve in NOW?

That can happen if the "tank fill" valve is in the "fill" position....

There is also a filter on the inlet side of the pump, make sure it's not clogged.

Has happened to a few people.

Hi vlittle,
Welcome to iRV2 and the Newmar Owner's forum. In the water/sewer utility bay there is a valve labeled Fresh Water Tank Fill. It has instructions to turn the valve clockwise or counter clockwise depending on what task is to be done.

The bottom line is turn the valve clockwise as far as possible (usually about 3 o'clock). The water pump should shut off after pressure builds in the lines. To fill the fresh water tank, turn the valve counter clockwise as far as possible (usually 12 o'clock). Turn the water pump off when filling the fresh water tank.

Hi vlittle,
Go to Fresh Water Tank Fill Lever - iRV2.com RV Photo Gallery for a picture of the lever. The picture shows the lever in the correct position to have the water pump draw water from the fresh water tank.
