Awning over entrance door not working

The awning over the entrance door on my 2019 Ventana 4369 stopped working.

Does anyone know if it has its own fuse? If yes, where would it be?

If no, I would love to hear some suggestions of what might be wrong.

Thank you

Front Door Awning

When ours stopped working, the motor had to be replaced. You can roll it up manually using a socket wrench on a bolt that is under the front cover (at least that is how we did it on our 2016 Carefree of Colorado awning).

We had an experience with ours similar to the two of you. We rarely used it. Eventually, it got to the point where it would extend but not retract. I had to manually retract it using the socket solution woodosgood described. We got a quote to have it fixed. I don't remember what it was but it was enough to move it to the end of our wish list since we used to so rarely. We strung a couple of discrete zip ties around it to keep anyone from extending it. We haven't missed it. I have to admit, though, it does pain me a bit to know that I have something on the rig that isn't working properly.

Mine quit in my Dutch Star. The awning got stuck and fired the relay. The relay is in the pass thru bay. I have the Girard awnings and there are three relays in one box. Newmar just used a silver metal junction box with a blank cover to house the relays.

Here is the box and a relay. One of the few things that was cheap at Newmar.

I have a Dometic on my 05 MA and when mine quit it turned out to be the activation switch that was the culprit

Where was the activation switch located on your coach?

Hi Don, Having one of the big Girard awnings stuck in the extended position has me thinking about keeping a spare relay. Did your door awning or large awning get stuck?
