I did it myself. Fairly easy. Take the left end cap off, a few screws and cut the wires. Then there are maybe three screws that hold the awning in place, take those out and the awning slides out of the track. I'm trying to remember what I did, but it entailed talking the motor off and the piece that attaches to the awning is stripped. I don't remember where I got it or how much it cost. I Googled it and found the part. I originally brought it to a Newmar dealer and they wanted to sell me a new awning.
