Back Water Rinse Issues
I have a new 2014 Ventana (10 months old, largely trouble, free, with just a few minor issues here and there).
The last two times I have attempted to use the Black Water tank rinse I have ended up with large amounts of water coming into my forward bathroom/stool room from under the sink. I have used the rinse many times before with no issues but now we have this problem. It is clear water (not waste, no smell) and it almost seems as if the rinse hose (if there is one) might have become disconnected and is spraying up into the cabin. I have been careful to make sure that the black tank gate is open when I use the rinse, so that is not the problem. Thoughts? Simple fix or am I headed off to a service center?

There is a "vacuum break or anti siphon device" up high under the sink. It's either defective or one of the connections has come off. It's to make a positive physical break in the line so waste water can't pass in a reverse direction when unpressurized.
Here is a Watts:

Not familiar with your rig but most/many black tank flush systems have a vacuum break device somewhere to keep black water from backing up the flush line. Sometimes these fail or get stuck open--sounds like your is stuck open??????

I am not sure how the newer Coach's are set up , but in my water bay, there is a black tank rinse fitting that I connect a hose to and that goes to a spray bar inside the black tank. If this is what you are talking about, I am not sure how this is connected to the fresh water side of things under the sink? How is you black tank rinse hooked up? You can see the hose from the water valve going to the BT spray bar fitting. I do not use that setup no more, no need for filtered water to do this job, so I just hook a hose from the campground water supply to the fitting.

Keith, if you will search under your bathroom sink cabinet your probably going to find one of thesehttp://s968.photobucket.com/user/Steveveady/media-full/Mobile%20Uploads/20141129_171627-1_zpstzcd1fpy.jpg.html
This is a Backflow Devise that is used by several coach manufacturers that is installed in the black water rinse line to prevent any black water from flowing back to your fresh water hose connection. Normally they work fine, but mine was also defective from the factory and had to be replaced.
It's a pretty straight forward replacement as long as it is easy to get to. Call your factory technical support and get them to ship you a new one.
Good luck, Sammie

The answer is, it's not connected to the fresh water supply under the sink. Under the sink is a handy place to route the line up to point above the black tank to the anti siphon device and then down to the spray head at the tank.

Hi Steve and thanks for the explanation, with that in mind, the newer Coach's have the black tank spray bar water supply plumbed into the fresh water system on the Coach I take it?

Steve has it right. Hose connection in wet bay has a back-flow preventer, and this PEX line routes to the mid coach bathroom, connects to nothing there, and loops back to the CAMCO in tank Quickie rinse. Something has come loose and needs repair.

I have never seem one plumbed directly. The standard seems to be the connector in the wet bay. Seems to be pretty universal across many coach builders.

Actually, that point in the bathroom is where the anti siphon device should be. It's a simple one line in, one line out plumbing device. It's usually up as high as possible just under the bottom of the vanity top.

Thanks to all who replied. I did indeed find the backflow preventer way up under the sink. Not surprisingly, it is a cheaper, plastic version than what is shown above. All connections are intact, so I can only assume the device itself is faulty. It shows water marks, so I am certain this is the source of the leak. I will wait til I have someone on board with me to run the flush again just to make 100% sure. I have to take the MH in for service to the water pump and an oil change, so I will add this to the list. I would do it myself, but it is in an awkward location and would require disconnecting all the sink plumbing lines, creating an opportunity for further problems, so best to leave it to a trained professional methinks -- especially a smaller trained professional better suited to working in tight places!
Thanks again - what a wealth of experience and knowledge on this website, truly amazing.
