Bad Wind Noise From Driver's Side Mirror-REVISITED

It's been awhile since I began the thread on this subject. None of the
things that worked (to some extent) for others helped in any way for me.
Suspecting after a time that my wind noise was coming from other than
the mirror or weep holes, I observed that where the two parts of the
window join, there was NO caulking, while there is caulking on the entire forward part of the window at the mirror. I applied caulking to this verticle joining of the two window parts, and immediately noticed a considerable lessening of the annoying noise! I feel that the only noise now is from the mirror, and find it to be no big problem. I suggest that anyone who has tried all else, with no success, observe whether the area I've described is without caulking...is so, put the caulking gun to it. Hope someone will benefit from this. Larry

Good advice. My wind noise was from an ill-fitting driver's door seal. Not the mirror, although it makes a convenient scapegoat. Seal up all the movable joints and you will drive more quietly and happier! Good luck and maybe we'll see you down the road.
