OK let’s start with: what type of heating source do you have….is it propane, OASIS (which I doubt), electric via rooftop HVAC?? I doubt you have basement heat unless you have OAsis or propane

So i have a 2003 DS 4006. What i do have is a switch in the wet bay for basement heat. Since this RV is relatively new to me and I live in FL, i have never checked what it does or how it works.
I do have heat strips on the AC and also have the furnace.
So, the first part of your answer may be the switch in your wet bay turns it on. Now, what that means i have no idea -- but probably need to figure it out too since I will be doing some cold weather camping this year.

The switch in the basement allows a blower to throw warm air into the basement (more specifically the wet bay) when the furnace is running. Your furnace has to be running in order to get warm air into the basement. Heat pump doesn’t count.

Contact Newmar and get their assistance. I did so after buying our Bay Star as I wanted to know if furnace heated air is vented to the water bay and they told me it is. I've verified that by monitoring water bay temps while traveling in some pretty cold temperatures (around 18 degrees F.).

Ok then as other members have posted , the wet bay has a duct from the furnace to the wet bay ( only ) not the whole basement , and a booster fan powered through a relay wired to the furnace blower and on/off switch lower left of the wet bay control panel .
So furnace running, booster switch on ; lots of heat in wet bay , only draw back is ; if your coach is set up like mine ; cold air return from the wet bay comes through a vent under the shower floor .
