Basement Heat
We are camping in Minnesota and have a question about basement heat and furnace.
If the heat is set to furnace will the heat be on in basement to keep water from freezing? Is it zone dependent or do both zones need to be on to heat the basement?
We are from Florida and don't have to worry about freezing much.

Yes, your basement is heated providing the Oasis heater is turned on either electric elements or fuel burner. If you look on the right side of your water bay you will find a small temperature adjustment. Generally these are set at 40 F. or so. When the temperature drops below this figure, a dedicated fan turns on and warms the area. I have stayed over night in 0 degree weather without issue. And that was with my '02 Dutch Star.

I cannot recall its exact water bay compartment location, yet my oasis has a sensor that activates a hydronic fan/heater in that compartment when the temperature drops below its non-adjustable threshold. When at Newmar, a tech showed it to me and tested it by chilling it using a can of cigarette lighter butane. I do recall the sensor simply hangs and looks similar to a large flat silver watch battery attached to wiring. It seems it was hanging toward the rear of the water bay - just have to bend down and look up.
Jeff, I have has 4 Newmar coaches and all I believe had a small, hard to find, mini adjustment screw to the right and back away in the water bay. That is the bay where your tank controls, hose, etc lives in.
Hope this helps.
