Basement pegboard section utilization

I was hoping for some suggestions on how to fully utilize this pegboard section . I just cannot see hanging wrenches and bungee cording them to the board without the inevitable clanging and banging. Any ideas ? Pic's are always worth a thousand words .

That area is pretty much useless. When I removed the peg board panel so I could attach sensors to the water, gray water and black water tanks for my "See Level" gauge, I noticed that the inside of the pegboard was carpeted so, when I re-installed the panel, I put the carpet towards the outside and all I use that compartment for is a battery charger for my Dewalt tools, some bottles of toilet chemicals, WD40, aerosol cans of window cleaner and a few other stand up cans.

Looks like a great solution. Did you make the shelves removable for access behind ?

I made this shelf, held in place with Ty-Wraps.

I made a similar shelf unit after see others handy work here on iRV2. Haven't seen a need to fasten it in and have been able to remove the unit with most of the small containers in place.

I use "peg board hooks" and attach the tools I most frequently use directly to the peg board. I consider the peg board to be another one of the nice features that Newmar adds that show to me they USE the coaches they build. I always admired this feature before we purchased our Newmar and it has lived up to my expectations. My previous motorhomes just gave no access to that area and so for me this is an excellent use of a small available space.

I never had an issue with pegboard hooks and bins. Everything stayed put. But I hate the pegboard and Iím hoping to finish my conversion today. Pics later.

Basement TV

There was enough room on my 2001 MADP to move the pegboard almost flush with the water tank & then install a TV:

Shelf is held in place with a couple of angle brackets screwed to the pegboard.

I use mine to store folding tables and chairs. I tie them back with small bungees so they don't fall out when I open the door.
