Battery problem.
Houston we have a problem. We have a 2017 Dsdp 4369, went to run generator and batteries are dead. Cargo door lock to batteries will not unlock with key and not enough juice in batteries to auto unlock. Key will open all but 2 cargo doors. House batteries have a pole beside them so cannot open them to charge. Is there anyway to run the generator from another battery? Suggestions please.

I'm guessing you should have a "Boost" button on the dash which, when pressed will connect the house and chassis batteries together.

you should have a boost switch that ties both the chassis and house batteries together. This will allow the house batteries to get charged enough to start the generator

Tom.....you should be able to release the door latch on the rear engine battery bay.
If you lay on the ground and look up into that bay, which is open and not sealed, you should be able to see the latch mechanism. It looks like the photo below. The small barrel with the wire/cable running through it, (bottom portion of the latch) just needs to be pulled downward. If those batteries are dead and you've tried the merge button, jump start the engine batteries with cables.

Good afternoon Tom; It is a little bit of work, but you can get a set of jumper cables and try to hook them onto the +&- terminals on the back bottom of the generator. I don't know what model of gen. you have, but going to guess it is an Onan. If someone has one of those jumper battery packs you could slide under there and hook onto the thermals. Push the button to jump on the pack and have someone inside hold the gen. start switch until the generator starts. Have a friend with a Monaco Camelot and the ran battery lines up to the front of his 8K Onan just in case. If the terminals are exposed on the end of the gen. it would be worth a try. Let us know what happens and good luck!

Success, Dutch Star Don was right on. Got underneath and was able to release the lock. Decided to take the batteries out and gave them a good charge, re-installed and it fired right up. Thanks for all he help.
