Bay Star 3124 House Batteries DOA
Picked up 2019 Bay Star 3124 and took out on maiden voyage. House batteries were DOA within 12 hours, but managed to use alternator/generator until we plugged in. Basically, voltage dropped to 8-9V within 5 minutes of switching over with nothing but propane fridge turned on. Alternator and battery charger were showing 14.4v but batteries would immediately drop to 8V. Understandable, since these motorhomes can sit on a dealer's lot without much TLC for the batteries. Not acceptable though because obviously the dealer's PDI didn't test the house batteries. At the dealer now and they will replace them but now I'm wondering if there is a short causing the drain. Time will tell.

Congrats on your new coach.
Yes some dealers do not keep batteries charged even on a sale.
Your house batteries should have charged some from alternator while driving as long when ever using your coach the BCO switch is on to charge the house batteries. A good 12v battery charger will bring them back and check the water levels, if wet cells, which is overlooked also.
This link has threads on the battery charging systems for all coach's and some mod's for older CS & BS coach's which the newer coach's would not need.
Your batteries will charge off your converter if your parked for a few days and alternator when driving just make sure BCO is on.
Never run your slides on batteries always have plugged in or Gen running so slide motor power is coming from your converter charger.

Had the same thing happen to my 2019 3401 Bay Star. After replacing the batteries, the new ones were drawn down. Turns out the inverter was on and drawing on the batteries. Turned it off and haven’t had problem since.

Check the inverter, in the cabinet over the door. If it's on, turn it off. Fridge should be on propane. Also, check your storage bay lights, make sure they are all off. I'm not sure it uses 12v, but the heat pads for cold weather, if you have that option, make sure that switch is off. also, check the radio in the dash.

Good advice from previous two posts. That was my approach when I got the low voltage alarm, but the batteries were apparently dead when I took delivery. The inverter especially can run those batteries down. In my model, it powers the tv's, wi-fi amplifier, radio, propane detector...…
I should have learned my lesson from a previous RV purchase where the house batteries were DOA. Dealers must not have the time to keep these things charged. Run these batteries all the way down and they are toast.

I would try a good 12v battery charger on your house batteries and see if they hold a full charge before getting new batteries, just make sure their is water in the wet cells, if not now maybe toast.

If the dealer is paying for the new batteries, go for it.
Just make sure they replace with equal batteries.
Sometimes they pick the cheapest batteries they can find and drop them in.
They gave me new batteries when I picked up my MH. They were gp24 65AH batteries. About the smallest deep cycle out there.
I didn't care because I was pulling them out anyway. They work fine in my pontoon boat.

Yes my CS was on the dealer lot of a little more then a year and the 6 - 6 volts would run down fast and never reach Full Charge. Newmar replaced them and I paid an extra $100 each for AGMs.... No regrets.
