I need to remove the cover of the Onan genset, to troubleshoot a problem. The Propane manifold is run directly above the rear of the cover, by about 1 inch. The cover hits this pipe and wont come off. Am I missing some trick to get around the Pipe? It looks like I will have to unmount the whole generator and slide it forward to get the cover off.

Not sure what model you have, but they pretty much all have four bolts holding the cover on and have to be lifted straight up to remove. So ya you’re going to have to drop it down or remove it to get the cover off.
