Bay Star Sport 2813 experience/feedback
We are considering the Bay Star Sport 2813 (if we can find one!). Does anyone have feedback for us regarding issues, complaints, things that we ought to look out for? Blessings

Mine is a BSS 3008 and we are very happy with it. We actually went shopping for a Ventana when we decided to upgrade from our Fleetwood Storm. Saw the little BSS at the dealer and after lots of thinking bought it. We love it’s basic simplicity and the fact that it cost only half as much as the Ventana. It’s had a few issues but don’t they all. It meets our needs.

We own a 2017 BSS with 26k miles. Model 3013, 31 foot long. We flat tow a Honda CRV. It’s a simple smaller Class A rig with the ability to get sites in National Parks or large enough to live in for months. We do a combination of both , all across the nation, about 8 months of the year. It has some issues, but mainly common maintenance is all that we have performed so far.

We have a BayStar 3124, purchased new in June. Went back and forth on the BayStar and Baystar Sport. Went with the BayStar over the sport for the larger wheels, larger storage and the residential fridge option. Plus it was the same price as the sport. Love it, just make sure the awning works and the house batteries are good. Good luck

I love this site and all of the differing likes and dislikes. We chose our BSS over a similar BS BECAUSE it had the smaller wheels and didn’t have a residential fridge! In our case it also was a bit less expensive and that mattered some as well. I’m glad there are so many options!

In our case there were two identical floor plans in the BS and BSS lines. We went with the BSS as it would fit in the existing carport. The Ford chassis has been great with no issues. Many of the problems have been self inflicted, but there were and still are some issues with the house part which Newmar dealt with, others not so much. Overall we are happy with the purchase. Going on five years this March.

Order one with the features you want. They don’t do a lot of specials on the BSS line but we had the vinyl flooring, and furniture colors changed. If you go this route, demand that you see the order sheet as sent to Newmar AND the actual build sheet sent to the floor for production. In our case the fine folks at Newmar left out the rear window we had ordered.
I high recommend you get the heat pump option.
