Bay Star Sport Roof Build

I looked at a Bay Star Sport 2702 and the roof wasn’t what I expected. This one was fairly flat (no real crown) made of a white rubber material secured by a hundred hex screws. Is this normal for a Newmar coach?

BriteTek roof. Completely normal and extremely durable.

As near as I can tell it is normal on Baystar Sport, Baystar and Canyon Star although the Fiberglass roof is an option on the Canyon Star. When you get up into the higher end units the fiberglass roof is standard.

I am considering a Baystar but that roof is a drawback for me.

Newmar seems to do a good job of sealing the edges and screws.
The good part of Brite Tek is it can be patched. I have had some hard tree branch hits and no damage so far.
