The tape thing lasts for a short time and then it wears away.
Are you the original owner? Some are unaware that the Newmar doors have two "closed" positions. When camping, lightly pushing the door close will latch it to the first lock position and everything will lock as normal, including the deadbolt.
When ready to depart, the door has to be closed very firmly, latching it to the second lock position. You can observe this by closing the door while standing outside. Softly close it and note the alignment of the door to the frame. It will stick out some. Then solidly close it and you'll see the door is tight to the opening.
With the door in the closed position for travel, from the inside, see if there is any movement of the screen door. Can it pushed toward the door. If so, the three rubber bumpers, as noted by Stuart W, are not long enough. Newmar had different lengths they installed, depending on the fit. If the screen moves, you can temporarily remove the three bumpers and add a washer or two behind them and reinstall. The better fix is to order some 1" diameter rubber washers on Amazon. They come an 1/8" thick. Use them as the washers.
You also need to check the screen door and main door for shiny spots, where the door is rubbing. Also check the folding arm at the top of the door. It can droop and rub against the top of the door, again a shiny spot.
Lastly, about twice a year, I take a can of Pledge and liberally spray the entire door and frame, including the hinge, dead bolt, latching area and all the edges. I wipe it down afterward, leaving a nice clean door that has all the joints lubed.
