Baystar owners--potential leak
A fellow Baystar owner advised me of a leak he had under the shower and stated he knew of another Baystar with the same problem. The shower sits on a plywood platform with attached 2x4 feet. The feet, however, are not attached to the main floor. The plywood slid around pushing against and knocking the shower drain out of kilter resulting in flooding under the shower which soaked the insulation and drained into his storage bays. I was just at the dealer having a few other fixes taken care of and he checked mine and added screws to secure the platform. Also tightened my shower drain. Access is through one of the vents at the shower base--one is the furnace vent, the other is simply access. Suggest Baystar owners check to make sure the plywood has not shifted to the drain pipe. I notified the Newmar factory rep and made him aware of this problem. Still love my Baystar!
