Bed with Head Lift capabilities

Some time ago I seem to remember that Newmar introduced a bed that would slide forward while raising your head. I believe it may have been for a space reason. Was this a special or on options, does anyone have any knowledge of this or was I just dreaming.

Thanks

It is an option. My wife and I have a lift bed at home and considered getting the option when we ordered our 2018 DS 4326 back in June ...

What they don't tell you is that the lift bed option causes you to lose the two windows on either side at the head of the bed.

We passed on the option.

You can special the windows to stay. You just lose the side window treatments. We LOVE our lift bed and very happy we kept the windows.

I think I’ve heard about a space issue and lift bed in the Canyon Star but not sure about the specifics.

If I'm not mistaken, I think you also lose all of the storage space underneath the bed. That's a deal breaker for many.

Did you lose the overhead cabinets?

No, you don't lose them. We still have the overhead cabinets.

We still have storage under the bed. I am told that it's smaller but I have no comparison.

We have a 2014 Canyon Star 3921 with the sleep number head lift bed. This option in our coach deleted the side windows and added one window above the head board. Also there are cabinets on both sides of the window and we have storage under the bed. Both slides will pull in with the bed flat or in the up position.

Newmar refused to add this special to our New Aire. Inadequate space below the bed.
