Ron & RJOL, I used 300 leds per 16.4' roll ( 5M ) I've worked with the 600 led roll and the connectors don't fit well .
In most locations I ran 4 strips of leds , in the buffet light I only used 2 , and the head of the bed only 1 as very little light required there. The bedside reading lights have been upgraded to different led fixtures.
The Amazon ASIN #s I had from ordering 2 years ago , are no longer valid; so I had to search for similar products.
These are as close as I could come up with . The leds have different light colors available. I used a bright white.
Light strips B01K1SVYY6 I used just over 2 rolls , price now $16.99
Connectors B01DM7ER5Q , two packages of 10 . price now $7.99
I ordered up a roll of wire B01E3PBR5Y $ 6.49
I measured the lengths , cut and connected the lengths , tested the strips with a 9 volt battery, before pealing the backing and sticking them in place.
I drilled out the rivets holding the ballast and tube connectors , and replaced the ballast cover as a reflector on most of the lights.
I soldered the wiring to the switch wiring and ground.
There are 6 ; 18" fixtures and 6 ; 12" fixtures, in my coach.

Thanks for the info... I'm going to make this my next project. Not only do they use less power, I'm tired of hearing noise from one of the ballasts and the feedback I get on the radio in AM....

One more question... Can you show or explain how you tied the four strips together and maybe a photo of the underside of the fixtures showing your termination wiring? Thanks.

RJOL; after cutting the led strips to length , the connectors are used to string them back together, using caution to maintain polarity +to+; - to - ; as marked next to to cut lines. There is a coating on the strips to prevent shorts that , on several of the contact points had to be scraped off to provide good contact , where the connectors were installed.
That's why it's important to test the strips with the 9 volt battery , before you stick it down in the fixture.
It's a fiddly project , but well worth the time , after completing my change over last summer , the lights worked fine during my 5 1/2 months of snowbirding this past winter.
There is a lot of room in the ceiling cavity for excess wiring , that you'll see as soon as you drop the first fixture.
I completed one of the 18" fixtures with the 4 strips and installed it next to the existing florescent in the living room to check that the lighting was the same or better.
I have one extra fixture , that I purchased when a ballast failed years ago , I'll take some more pictures and post them.

Not sure what happened but !!! I took one of the bulbs out and tried in a different light and it worked fine. So Then I took the bulb out of that light and put in the bedroom light. And bang it worked fine. Not sure why but that's all it took. Maybe spooks ?

Poor connections , between the tube pins and the holders , Re & Re cleaned them enough for better contact. But you may have just moved the problem around.

I converted all the Thinlights to LED strips sometime before 2015 when we traded the rig off. Still have a box of the Thinlight transformers on the back deck. They were all working just fine when we traded. Bought the coils of lights on Amazon.

I converted our lights to LED. I put 3 strips in each housing and added a 2nd switch that I wired the center strip to. I can have 1, 2, or 3 of the strips on to provide different range of light, works greats. Bought all my supplies off Ebay. I believe I spent ~$70 to convert all the lights about 4-5 years ago.
