Bedroom Slide not Moving

2014 DS While driving home from camping this weekend, I noticed the bedroom slide had extend approximately 4 inches. I pulled over to try to get the slide back in. The motor would run, but would not engage the slide. I was able to push the slide back to about an inch extended. Once I got home, I again tried to deploy the slide and the motor would run, but would not move the slide. The slide is currently extended about 1 inch. It will not close further to engage the slide locks. Any suggestions? Calling Newmar tomorrow morning.

Shear Pin - Something likely got in a bind and popped the Shear Pin - motor is spinning but the gears are not engaged with the shaft.

Hope this helps,

Edit - nail/screw or something will often work in a pinch

I recently had the same problem on a 09 Ventana. The motor shaft and gear shaft are welded together on my model. The weld failed. Check if the motor shaft is turning but the gear shaft is not. If similar setup the welded section is under a square cover. If it is the same problem you should be able to unbolt the motor which will disengage from the gear shaft because it is no longer attached by the weld. I removed the gear shaft and had it rewelded. Good as new.

Newmar says it may be the trans torque bushing. Hoping to check it out tomorrow.

That's a possibility could also be a broken gear housing or loose motor mount bolts.
Bedroom slide problems.
