Black and gray tank orientation

I am buying a low mileage 2014 Bay Star 3309 and i noticed something odd (I think) in the way the black and gray outlets connect. This will be out third Newmar, having had a Dutch Star and Bat Star in the past. I have a picture attached. Should the level of the main outlet hookup be at least level with the black and gray outlets?

If you grab the main outlet and twist it down you will find that it moves. Evidently somebody raised it up to get it out of the way to store something but it actually rotates on the flanges on either side.

LOL . I suffered from that same FD (familiarization deficiency) 9 years ago when we bought our Dutch Star. Canít recall who clued me in to the rotation, or how, but I assure you those first few weeks trying to get my sewer line to run out through the deck plate occasioned some innovative language!!! 🤯

From the movie RV....."It's yer basic Hydraulics!!!"

Seriously, that one really pivots a LOT! On my MA, I only have perhaps 2" of available up and down movement starting at the same level as the incoming pipes and going down just a bit from there. Before I saw the comments of others, I thought it was actually WAY up there!
