Black / Grey Tank Access

I need to check the condition of the tank sensors but cannot see how to gain access. I have a tv in that bay so I need to remove it also.

Had to replace a black tank sensor. You can gain access to the sensors by taking out the panel in the water compartment. You have about 16 screws to remove an the various water connections after the panel is removed you should be able to get to the sensors. They screw into the various tanks from the top and are connected to the eplex system by 2 wires. The process is not hard but it takes some time. Safe yourself some aggervation and use an electric screwdriver with a square tip bit.

I thought the sensors were on the tv side.

Just asking why need to check sensors? Never had a problem with them just had to adjust the readings on display to eliminate any reading problem.
Both monitor tank calibration methods.

I think yours work through the E-PLEX SYSTEM calibrations.

After I thoroughly flush the black tank, and I mean filling several times through the washout port with the hose and dumping liquid laundry detergent in the toilet over the tank, I get a green light for maybe an hour then it turns orange and immediately red. Holding the button for 6 or 7 seconds is not the problem, the problem is that I have to do it and I don't want to anymore.

The year model may be key here but i have a issue i listed on here not long ago and i also spoke with newmar they tell me you have to get to a service center to fix problems like these due to the e-plex system i assume you have which means a computer hook up. my gray and black read zero fresh reads good like i say i may be on the wrong road here ?

What is the eplex system showing for black tank level? I think the rear toilet sensor is not part of the eplex system. I think Newmar has had some issues with the rear toilet sensors. You might want to talk to Newmar and tell them of your issue.

Fresh and black tank seem to be fairly accurate. Grey shows 0 than suddenly 40 gallons. My issue seems to be just with the toilet, not the eplex. But who knows.

I'll call Newmar tomorrow.
