Black Tank Question

Our 2014 Canyon Star 3610 has 1 1/2 baths with 2 black tanks (total capacity 86 gallons - according to Newmar website). Anyone know how much each black tank holds? When I talked with a Newmar customer service person, he said he didn't know and had no way of telling. Thanks in advance for your expertise.

I believe you talked to the wrong person .
The way of telling would be to get access to the tank part numbers , if the numbers are the same ( that I would suspect ) then 43 gals each . If the numbers are different then if parts department doesn't have capacity , then they should have measurements that would help determine capacity.

It should be in your owners manual, Also on a Newmar there is usually a label inside one of the cabinet doors over the kitchen sink showing all tank sizes.

Thanks for the input. There's no volume information on any "sticker" inside the coach. Also, nothing in the owner's manual provides the data. I'll try finding the info online or see if Newmar can provide.

You could try looking for the black tank capacity for a single bath model , not your bath & 1/2 , if that unit list 43 gal black tank , then you have your answer.

Does it really have two BLACK tanks? Could it maybe have one black tank (toilets) and one grey tank (sinks and shower)?

Yep. It really does have 2 black tanks PLUS the grey tank. I wish it was all in one because it makes it a challenge to dump

Thanks Skip426. I was actually able to figure it out on the Newmar parts website. The front tank is 42.5 gallons & the back one is 52 gallons.

I have two black tanks and two grey tanks. Monaco connected all the 3" drains together so I only need one sewer hose.

Do you need one or two sewer hoses?
