Blue Painters Tape Residue (removal?)

OK, color me stupid... I was trying to locate the studs on our Grand Star (Full body paint) to mount a new credenza I built and I applied blue painters tape on the outside of the motorhome because I could see from the absence of morning dew where the studs were.

I left the tape on too long I guess because when I removed the tape it left some residue.

Question is what should I use that wont harm the paint on the motorhome full body paint finish?
(I don't care if it removes the wax, I am re-doing it using GEL-GLOSS.)

I've heard of the following ideas:
--Goo remover
--Vinegar
--Turpentine
--WD-40

Can anyone recommend something to use that will remove the residue but not dull the great paint job Newmar did on our motorhome?

WD-40 will work

I use DX330, available from auto body supply houses. It is used to remove oil and silicon residue from auto body panels prior to painting and is safe for all coatings.

We have tried everything including WD-40, Awsome, lighter fluid ..... the only thing that realy work for us: brake fluid.

do not use brake fluid it will remove the paint !!!!!

Couple of suggestions: GooGone, mineral spirits, both available at paint supply stores. One that can be purchased from a pharmacy is Uni-Solve used in surgical tape and dressing removal. These all have worked well for me.

Did not remove the paint on my new Cruiser, probably milder then WD-40, try it first on a hidden surface. But for sure it works.

This is the first time I've heard of the blue tape leaving a residue.

I have had the best success with GooGone Project Prep.
Cleaned gunk off the dashboard of one of our toy cars that nothing else would touch.
I found it at walmart.

Success and report of method....couldn't get into town to get any of the suggested products, so .I tried plain old Windex with a VERY soft cloth and rubbed it wet, then that left a film and "polished" that off with another very soft cloth...took about 6 cycles on each area but it did finally all come off with no scratches to the paint...whew
