Well, I leave Branson in the morning to head north to Nappanee for some repairs...What started out as a trip to have the Intellitec "brain" replaced, will turn into a "I'm here they might as well fix this too" trip, given the inspection I've made to this coach.

In "showing off" the coach this week, inside and out, I've found the following to be in need of attention...

<UL TYPE=SQUARE>*Intellitec "controller" issue
*Right rear cap screws....gone!
*Left rear cap missing screws
*Engine lift hydraulic line pinched in hinge and damaged.
*Mechanics access door gasket not seated.
*Rear cap vertical access panel screws stripped.
*High mounted stop light out.
*Rear cap paint has waves in clear coat.
*Auxillary air fitting corroded and unusable.
*Front right mup flap loose and hitting tire.
*Water stains in SEVERAL compartment floors.
*Electric bay door rubs coach upper right.
*Electric bay cord openings need better seal.
*Left rear tag mud flap bracket hanging, bolt broken off.
*Front privacy shade replace...damaged when fell.
*Window over couch not closing/sealing properly.[/list]
There are also two light fixtures in the bedroom that seem to burn out bulbs too fast.
I've replaced these bulbs and even had Newmar replace these bulbs....going to ask them to address this as well.

Also will most likely try and arrange scheduled maintenance as I need an air filter...

Wish me luck with putting the fuses back in place in the morning, I've been instructed to take them right back out again after the slides come in.

More news as it develops!!

At least one of us is excited, as Adrienne learned we will stay in the "Choo-Choo" Hotel in Nappanee...REALLY a nice place,it's WELL known for it's proximity to the train tracks.

With Adrienne along I've registered over there to allow us the chance to swim....Thought that'd be something she'd enjoy, although I will have to PRY her away from the girls in the NKK office.
She met them in Gillette at the International.

Save me a spot.

In addition to getting my coach repainted, I too have several "other" items to be repaired.

Just this morning the rear A/C start capacitor burnt up. The front one burnt up in June.

Apparently there have been quite a few of these going bad.

Sigh.

We may see you there no repairs just want some parts and tiles for floor, if Mike P and Brazels got it right we'll make it.
May just try some of that good cooking in them parts to get some lost weight back.

Bob,

What do you plan to do when you go out of warranty?

I have the capacitor problem and Dometic will replace entire unit next Friday. It seems the burnt out capacitors are just an indicator of too much current draw from compressor in most cases.

Made it to Nappanee without incident, ran with the Pond Piggies for a while as they left Branson, but I felt I wanted to make better time as I was going a bit further than they were...
As I was leaving the Flying J they were just arriving....Bill and I tested the FRS radios and they worked til about five miles in that hilly terrain.

Dale, I am anticipating the issues to mellow out toward the end of the warranty period and I'm certain as well that Newmar will honor any repeat issues that may occur after warranty.

Coach repairs are progressing nicely, but that darn Chevy dealer in Nappanee just got richer!!

Spoke with Tamara at Blue Ox several times today in regard to the Sport Loader and made the decision to trade the Hummer.

Also arranged to have the baserplates installed at Dan's RV Service in Elkhart...

The Air Force One will be switched over to the truck tomorrow by someone here in Nappanee who was recommended by the folks at Newmar.

For the record, Duncan RV does NOT do base plates, but the folks at Dan's RV in Elkhart were VERY accomodating....

The base plate will be shipped from Blue Ox and installed on Monday...

Yes I know...It means I stay here through the weekend!!

Will post pics of new K3500 Crew Cab soon...IT'S BLACK!!

Atta boy. Trade 'em every 6 months.

Remember, it only costs a little bit more to go first class.
